Former Lady Wolverine helps OBU split 2 games in Shawnee
SHAWNEE — Former Vian Lady Wolverine softball player Greenlee Wells and the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison split their only two games in the Great American Conference/ MIAA Invitational on Friday before the final three games, two on Saturday and one on Sunday, were canceled due to inclement weather.
SHAWNEE — Former Vian Lady Wolverine softball player Greenlee Wells and the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison split their only two games in the Great American Conference/ MIAA Invitational on Friday before the final three games, two on Saturday and one on Sunday, were canceled due to inclement weather.
The Bison blanked Fort Hays ( Kan.) State 2- 0 on Friday before losing 10- 1 in five innings to Washburn.
In the win over Fort Hays State, Wells was 1- for- 3 with her second home run of the season and two runs batted in.
In the loss to Washburn, Wells was hitless in one at- bat.
For the season, Wells is batting .286 with three doubles, two homers and 10 RBIs.
Wells and the Bison will return to action in a GAC road series against Arkansas- Monticello with a 1 p. m. doubleheader this Friday and a noon single game this Saturday.
