Former Lady Wolverine/EOSC softball team drops 2 to UA-Rich Mountain

WILBURTON — Former Vian Lady Wolverines softball player Maisie Wells and the Eastern Oklahoma State College Lady Mountaineers dropped a pair of 2-0 games to the University of Arkansas-Rich Mountain on Monday afternoon.

In the opener, Wells was hitless in three at-bats, while going 0-for-2 in the nightcap.

Through 11 games this season, Wells is hitting .281 with two triples, a run batted in and six runs scored.

Wells and the Lady Mountaineers (4-7), who had Thursday’s road doubleheader snowed out against Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College, will return to action at 2 p.m. Tuesday against Crowder College in Fort Scott, Kan.
