GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Walter Clayton Jr. scored 18 points, Will Richard added 14 and No. 2 Florida beat Oklahoma 85-63 on Tuesday night for its fifth consecutive victory.

Alijah Martin chipped in 14 points off the bench for the Gators (23-3 overall, 10-3 in Southeastern Conference play), who tied a season-low with six turnovers and improved to 13-1 at home.

Jeremiah Fears led the Sooners (16-10, 3-10) with 22 points and five rebounds. It was the sixth 20-point game of the season for the freshman guard, who tied a career high with four 3-point baskets on eight attempts.

OU’s Jalon Moore netted 11 points, good for his 21st consecutive game in double figures, while Brycen Goodine made two of his four 3-point tries and chipped in with eight points.

Clayton, Richard and Martin — Florida’s top three scorers — combined to make 15-of-31 shots, including nine 3s. They scored 25 of the team’s first 37 points as the Gators opened a doubledigit lead and never looked back.

The Gators made nine 3-pointers in the opening half to account for 27 of their 46 points. The teams each scored 39 points after halftime.

The Sooners will return to action at noon Saturday against Mississippi State (19-7, 7-6) at Lloyd Noble Center.
