Vikings wrestlers do well at regional tournament
PRATT, Kan. — Several Carl Albert State College Vikings wrestlers qualified for next month’s NJCAA National Tournament at last Saturday’s NJCAA South Central District Tournament at Pratt Community College.

Sean-Michael Gonzalez was a champion at 133 pounds as he went 4-0 to claim gold.
Ethan Day was runner-up at 184 pounds, while Keegan Sullivan (125 pounds) and Deontre Buttram (174) were third.
Marquonn Journey was fourth at heavyweight, Trequan Buttram was fifth at 157 pounds, Cayden Felts was sixth at 165 and Kaiden Cue was seventh at 141.
CASC 149-pounder Mason Gordon also qualified for the national tournament by wild card vote.
The NJCAA National Tournament for both the Vikings and Lady Vikings will be March 7-8 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
