Blue, channel and flathead catfish fair on cut bait, live shad and shad around channels, river channel and river mouth. Crappie fair on hair jigs, jigs and minnows around docks and rocks. GRAND: March 2. Elevation is a foot below normal and stable. The water temperature is 40 degrees and clear. White bass fair on crankbaits, sassy shad, small lures and spinnerbaits around channels, creek channels, discharge, river channel and river mouth. Blue and channel catfish slow on chicken liver, cut bait, shad and shrimp around flats, main lake, points and river mouth. GREENLEAF: March 3. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 47 degrees and clear. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits, jerk baits, minnows, plastic baits and worms around creek channels, docks and main lake. Crappie good on hair jigs, minnows and slabs around brush structure and docks. Channel catfish fair on chicken liver, minnows and worms around channels, docks and main lake. LOWER ILLINOIS RIVER: Feb. 28. Elevation is three feet above normal and stable. The water temperature is 43 degrees and clear. Rainbow trout fair on caddis flies, in-line spinnerbaits, midges, nymphs, PowerBait and small lures below the dam, shallows and shorelines. Comments: Current river flow is at 2,070 cubic feet per second (CFS). Report submitted by Jerry Henry, game warden stationed in Sequoyah County.

Blue and channel catfish good on cut bait, punch bait, shad, shrimp and stinkbait around channels, flats, inlet, main lake, river channel and river mouth.
