Former Muldrow Lady Bulldog Hannah Boyett and the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith Lions split their final two games of the regular season, beating Rogers State 69-63 on Saturday afternoon in Claremore after losing 88-53 to Central Oklahoma on Feb. 27 in Edmond.
Former Muldrow Lady Bulldog Hannah Boyett and the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith Lions split their final two games of the regular season, beating Rogers State 69-63 on Saturday afternoon in Claremore after losing 88-53 to Central Oklahoma on Feb. 27 in Edmond.
In the win over Rogers State, Boyett scored six points, grabbed a rebound and had an assist and a steal, but was held scoreless against UCO with just a rebound and two assists.
Through 28 games, Boyett is averaging 5.9 points, 1.6 rebounds, a little more than two assists and a steal a game to go with five blocked shots this season. Boyett, who is playing after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer in July, and the Lions (18-10 overall, 12-7 in MIAA Conference play) will begin play in the MIAA Conference Tournament where they will meet Missouri Western State University at 8:15 tonight at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
