Webbers Falls splits doubleheader with Hulbert

HULBERT — The Webbers Falls Lady Warriors split Thursday afternoon’s road doubleheader with the host Hulbert Lady Riders, taking the nightcap 7-3 after losing the opener 8-7.

In the nightcap, Bentley Ward (1-0) got the win for the Lady Warriors (1-3). No offensive statistics were available at press time.

No information on the opener was available at press time.

WELEETKA 3, WEBBERS FALLS 2

CROWDER 22, WEBBERS FALLS 2, 3 INN.

Monday afternoon at Eual Carter Sports Complex, the Lady Warriors dropped both games in their home three-way.

In the loss to Weleetka, the Lady Outlaws rallied from a 2-1 third-inning deficit with single runs in the fourth and fifth innings to get the come-frombehind win.

In defeat, Bridgette Baer was 2-for-2, while Karla Bonilla hit a two-run double in the third inning to put Webbers Falls ahead 2-1. Mary Davis (0-2) took the loss.

In the loss to Crowder, the Demonettes scored 11 runs in the first inning and never looked back.

In defeat, Bonilla doubled with a run batted in and a run scored, Baer singled and scored once and Bentley Ward and Bailey Ward each singled for Webbers Falls.

Davis took the loss, lasting only the opening inning. Bentley Ward went the final two innings with a strikeout.

KEOTA 10, CENTRAL 6

Monday afternoon in Keota, the Lady Lions, who trailed 1-0 in the first inning, scored three runs in the first inning and four runs in the second inning for a 7-1 lead.

The Lady Tigers (1-1) cut the deficit to 7-5 with a four-run third inning but got no closer.

In defeat, Charlie Petree was 3-for-3 with a triple, two runs batted in and a run scored, Ayrland Jiles was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI and Brenleigh Allen was 2-for-3 for Central.

Riley Rowland (1-1) suffered the loss, despite getting two strikeouts in five innings.

ANTLERS 15, GANS 2, 3 INN.

LEFLORE 12, GANS 0, 3 INN.

Monday afternoon in Leflore, the Lady Grizzlies (1-4) lost both games of their road doubleheader.

In the loss to Antlers, after the Lady Grizzlies took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, the Lady Bearcats scored nine runs in the first inning and six runs in the second inning to put the game into run-rule status.

The Lady Grizzlies were no-hit. Yesenia Gaona (1-1) suffered the loss, going the first inning. Aaliyah Taylor pitched the second inning.

In the loss to Leflore, the Lady Grizzlies were no-hit for the second time on the day as the Lady Savages broke a scoreless tie with a 12-run second inning.

Taylor (0-1) suffered the loss, only lasting 1.1 innings. K’Cee Osborn went the final two-thirds of an inning.
