After splitting a home doubleheader against Murray State College on March 6 in Wilburton as they won the opener 8-4 before losing the nightcap 13-3, the Lady Mountaineers swept a road doubleheader from host Labette Community College by scores of 10-2 and 15-7 last Saturday in Parsons, Kan.
On Tuesday, the Lady Mountaineers swept a home twinbill from Connors State College by scores off 6-2 and 7-3.
In the win over Murray State College, Wells scored once while being hitless in three at-bats, while hitting a double and scoring once in the loss to the Lady Aggies.
In the opener against Labette, Wells went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, while hitting 4-for-4 with a double, her second home run of the season, four runs scored and three runs batted in.
In the opener against Connors State, Wells was 2-for-4 with a run scored, while hitting a single in three at-bats with a run scored and a stolen base in the nightcap.
Through 24 games, Wells is batting .400 with three doubles, three triples, two homers, seven RBIs, 21 runs scored and six stolen bases.
Wells and the Lady Mountaineers (1212), after playing a road doubleheader against Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa on Thursday afternoon, they will return home to face Northeastern Oklahoma A&M for a 1 p.m. Saturday doubleheader.
