LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Thanks for your support during treatment, transplant

Dear Editor,

I just wanted to thank everyone who contributed in some way for the benefit on Saturday, March 1. I am very blessed to have friends and family who are so caring. Dear Editor,

I just wanted to thank everyone who contributed in some way for the benefit on Saturday, March 1. I am very blessed to have friends and family who are so caring. I know there were a lot of prayers said on my behalf. God heard them and granted me a miracle. My illness with cancer and liver disease had been a long journey, but with God’s help, the love and support from my family and friends I am on my way to recovery from the radiation treatments and liver transplant.

I have had wonderful care from the doctors, nurses and staff at Integris Baptist Hospital, Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute and Integris Cancer Institute in Oklahoma City, Redbird Smith Clinic, Hastings Hospital, Baptist Hospital, Fort Smith, and Tahlequah Gastroenterology, who initially referred me to the liver institute in Oklahoma City.

Also, Premier Home Health who helped me get back on my feet after surgery. I also want to say I am so thankful for the people who are organ donors and those who donate blood. I would not be here today if it were not for the kindness of those people, especially my liver donor.

I want to share with you a vision I had right after my transplant. I was on a long dark road and far away, I could see Jesus with His arms outstretched, At that time, I didn’t know what it meant, but I have had some setbacks to my recovery, including a long bout with pneumonia but God has always been with me, helping me through. So, I think the vision may have meant that I have a long way to go with my recovery and will have bumps along the way, but He is still with me and I must push forward, keep the faith and not get discouraged.

I want to say thanks again for all those who so graciously donated their time for the benefit, the food and preparation for the chili supper, items for the auction, monetary donations, tickets for the guns, and your support and prayers. I pray God will bless you all abundantly. This will really help me with medical expenses that have incurred, medications and continuing trips to Oklahoma City and Muskogee.

Thank you all, and thanks to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

God bless you all,

RONDA LASITER
