EUFAULA: March 14. Elevation is a foot above normal and rising. The water temperature is 49 degrees and murky. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass good on Alabama rigs, crankbaits and jerk baits around points, riprap and rocks. Blue, channel and flathead catfish fair on cut bait, live bait and live shad around channels, river channel and river mouth. Crappie good on hair jigs and minnows around brush structure and docks. GRAND: March 17. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 54 degrees and stained. White bass good on flukes, hair jigs, in-line spinnerbaits, jigs and plastic baits below the dam, river channel and sandbar. Blue and channel catfish good on chicken liver, cut bait, shad and stinkbait around channels, river channel and rocks. Crappie fair on hair jigs, jigs, spoons and tube jigs around brush structure. GREENLEAF: March 14. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 49 degrees and clear. Largemouth bass fair on Alabama rigs, bill baits, crankbaits, lipless baits and small lures around brush structure, channels, flats and rocks. Crappie good on jigs, minnows and slabs. LOWER ILLINOIS RIVER: March 14. Elevation is 2.5 feet above normal and stable. The water temperature is 44 degrees and clear. Rainbow trout fair on caddis flies, in-line spinnerbaits, midges, nymphs, PowerBait and worms.
Comments: Current river flow is 1,300 cubic feet per second (CFS). Report submitted by Jerry Henry, game warden stationed in Sequoyah County.
ROBERT S. KERR: March 15. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 50 degrees and murky. Largemouth and spotted bass good on Alabama rigs, bill baits, crankbaits, flukes, hair jigs, lipless baits and rogues around brush structure, coves, flats, riprap, shallows, shorelines, standing timber and weed beds. Crappie good on hair jigs, jigs and minnows around brush structure, channels, creek channels, inlet and standing timber. Blue and channel catfish good on cut bait, dough bait, shad and stinkbait around channels, creek channels, flats, main lake, river channel and river mouth. TENKILLER: March 16. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 51 degrees and clear. Largemouth and spotted bass fair on crankbaits, jigs and plastic baits around brush structure, docks and points. Crappie fair on hair jigs, jigs and tube jigs around brush structure, docks and main lake. WEBBERS FALLS: March 14. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 49 degrees and stained. Paddlefish fair snagging below the dam, river channel and river mouth. Blue and channel catfish fair on cut bait, live bait, shad and worms below the dam, main lake, river channel and river mouth. White bass fair on bill baits, in-line spinnerbaits, lipless baits, sassy shad and tube jigs below the dam, creek channels and river mouth.
