Former Vian player’s OBU Bison win series from Henderson State, sweep TWU
Former Vian Lady Wolverines softball player Greenlee Wells and the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison took two of three games in last weekend’s road series against Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Ark. — winning last Friday’s opener 7-3 before losing the nightcap 4-2 and taking last Saturday afternoon’s finale 5-2.

Wells and the Bison got this week started with a road sweep against Texas Women’s University on Wednesday evening in Denton, Texas — winning 7-5 and 13-7.
In last Friday’s opener against Henderson State, Wells was 2-for-4 with a double, a run batted in and a run scored, while going hitless in three at-bats in the nightcap. In last Saturday’s game against Henderson State, Wells went 2-for-3 with with her eighth home run of the season and two RBIs. In Wednesday’s opener against TWU, Wells went 3-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and two RBIs, while hitting a double and scoring twice in the nightcap. Through 30 games, Wells is hitting .337 with eight doubles, eight homers, 29 RBIs, 18 runs scored and six stolen bases.
Wells and the Bison will play a home three-game weekend series against Ouachita Baptist University in Shawnee with a 6 p.m. game tonight and a noon twinbill on Saturday.
