FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The third-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks swept a two-game series from the Oral Roberts University Golden Eagles at Baum-Walker Stadium as the Hogs won Tuesday night’s game 4-1 and routed ORU 16-0 on Wednesday afternoon.

In Tuesday night’s win, Ben Bybee’s five strikeouts and Charles Davalan’s three-hit effort helped lead the Hogs (20-2) to victory.

Bybee set the tone on the mound, tossing four shutout innings with a season-high five strikeouts. The right-hander allowed only a hit and did not issue a free pass in his dominant outing Tuesday night against ORU.

Left-hander Cole Gibler (1-0), who earned his first career win Tuesday night, entered in relief of Bybee and had a strikeout in two innings of work. Christian Foutch got his third save of the season, going the final inning with a strikeout For the game, Charles Davalan was 3-for-4 with a run batted in and a run scored, Kuhio Aloy finished 2-for-5 with an RBI and Wehiwa Aloy was 2-for-4 with a run scored for Arkansas. In defeat, Cooper Combs and Keaton Campbell were each 2-for-4 for the Golden Eagles (12-8). Connor Johnson (0-1) took the loss in relief for ORU. In Wednesday afternoon’s victory, the Hogs scored 12 runs in the fourth inning to secure their 18th straight midweek victory. The win made Arkansas have its sixth 20-2 record over the first 22 games of a season in program history, four of which have occurred during current coach Dave Van Horn’s tenure.

Four Razorback pitchers combined for a one-hitter on Wednesday. Starter Colin Fisher, who earned the win to improve to 3-0 on the year, spun two shutout innings with four strikeouts before handing the ball off to Tate McGuire.

Former Roland Ranger pitcher Carson Wiggins did not appear in either game.
