Sallisaw will begin season Friday at McAlester
The Sallisaw High School track teams will get their 2025 season underway at the McAlester Invitational, which will take place at 9 a.m. Friday at Hook-Eales Stadium.

The Lady Diamonds return five state qualifiers from last year’s Class 4A State Meet. Kayli Macon is back after qualifying for last year’s state meet as an individual in the 200-meter dash and as part of the state-qualifying 400- and 800-meter relays.
Three of the four legs of those two state-qualifying relays return. The 400-meter relay team members back are Macon, Emma Martin and Jazmyne Wright, while Macon, Wright and Hannah Palmer are back from last year’s 800-meter relay.
Another state qualifier back for the Lady Diamonds is shot put thrower Macie Gremillion.
Besides the five state qualifiers back for the Lady Diamonds, they also return seven members from last year’s team — Ava Armstrong, Casey Brackett, Delaney Compton, Kylie Holt, Michelle Laudan, Sydney Weedon and Channing Wilson.
Rounding out the roster are Josie Marin, Chloe Nelson, Natalie Gonzalez, Emma Coury, Kambrey Coffman, Molli Blount, Daisy Reid, Gentri Lageveen, Aubrey Webb and Shaylee Choate.
The Black Diamonds return three members of the Class 4A State Meet qualifying 400-meter relay — Cooper Cox, Kenyan Hill and Cooper Jackson.
Other returning Black Diamonds are Caden Blount, Austin File, Tyler File, Dawson Glover, Alex Gregory, Jackson Harris, Sean Laudan, Cash Mayfield, Tae-Muskrat Flynn, Ish Patel, Jonas Reid, Sama Salinas and Ethan Wilhite.
Bo Brackett, Julius Lemon, Ethan Perez, Noah Briley, Talon Flynn, Jackson Jiles, Jace Holman, Cooper Jackson, Zyler Rogers and Tukker Chase round out the roster.
