EUFAULA: March 21. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 50 degrees and stained. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass fair on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, jerk baits, lipless baits and plastic baits around channels, main lake, points and riprap. Blue, channel and flathead catfish fair on cut bait, live bait and live shad around channels, river channel and river mouth. GREENLEAF: March 24. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 53 degrees and clear. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits, lipless baits, plastic baits, spinnerbaits and worms around brush structure, creek channels, docks, points and rocks. Crappie fair on jigs and minnows around brush structure, docks and shallows. Report submitted by Dylan Langford, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.
LOWER ILLINOIS RIVER: March 21. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 45 degrees and clear. Rainbow trout good on caddis flies, in-line spinnerbaits, midges, nymphs, PowerBait and worms around below the dam, shallows and shorelines. ROBERT S. KERR: March 22. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 50 degrees and murky. Largemouth and spotted bass good on Alabama rig, bill baits, crankbaits and rogues around coves, points, riprap and shorelines. Blue and channel catfish good on cut bait, dough bait, shad and stinkbait around channels, flats, inlet, main lake, river channel and river mouth. Crappie good on hair jigs, jigs and minnows around brush structure, channels, creek channels, flats, inlet and points. Report submitted by Allen Couch, game warden stationed in Haskell County.
TENKILLER: March 23. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 54 degrees and clear. White bass good on Alabama rigs, hair jigs, jigs, small lures and tube jigs around creek channels and river channel. Largemouth and smallmouth bass good on crankbaits, jigs, plastic baits and rogues around coves, points and shorelines. Crappie good on hair jigs, minnows, spoons and tube jigs around brush structure and docks. COMMENTS: The white bass action is picking up. It can still be a little hit-and-miss. Anglers are having success catching them trolling the river channel on the upper end of the lake and from shore anywhere from Cherokee Landing upstream to Carters Landing area. They are also being caught around Horseshoe Bend, just not in great numbers yet. The white bass action should only get better this week. WEBBERS FALLS: March 24. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 53 degrees and stained. Blue and flathead catfish fair on cut bait, jigs and shad below the dam, flats, river channel and river mouth. White bass good on in-line spinnerbaits, jigs, sassy shad, slabs and small lures below the dam, creek channels, river channel and tailwater.
