After a scoreless first inning, the Vikings (22-7) put away the game with a seven-run second inning, a fiverun third inning and a single run in the fourth inning for a 13-0 lead.
For the game, Brooks Herrera was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a run batted in, Colt Weaver was 2-for-2 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI, Jackson Harrell was 2-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored, Gannon Shackelford was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored, Alexander Nirider was 2-for-5 with a triple, two runs scored and an RBI and Keypher DeLeon tripled with three RBIs and a run scored for the Vikings.
Hudson Birch (1-0) got the win, going the first four innings with four strikeouts. Carter Norris went the next two innings with two strikeouts, then Luke Crichton went the final inning with a strikeout.
The Vikings will entertain TCS Post Grad for a 1 p.m. doubleheader this afternoon at Mark Pollard Park at Ival Goodman Field before welcoming the archrival Eastern Oklahoma State College Mountaineers for a 2 p.m. single game on Tuesday.
