Fishing Report for April 2, 2025

EUFAULA: March 28. Elevation is normal and rising. The water temperature is 62 degrees and stained. Striped bass, striped bass hybrids and white bass fair on flukes, hair jigs, jigs and lipless baits below the dam, discharge and tailwater. Crappie good on hair jigs, minnows and spoons around brush structure and docks. Largemouth and smallmouth bass good on buzz baits, crankbaits and plastic baits around coves, flats and rocks. Report submitted by Jake Rowland, game warden stationed in McIntosh County.

GRAND: March 30. Elevation is a foot above normal and stable. The water temperature 56 degrees and stained. Crappie good on hair jigs, jigs, minnows and spoons around brush structure, coves and docks. White bass excellent on hair jigs, in-line spinnerbaits, jigs, plastic baits and small lures below the dam, creek channels, points, river mouth, sandbar and shallows. Blue and channel catfish good on chicken liver, cut bait, live bait and shad around channels, main lake and river channel. Report submitted by C. Newkirk, game warden stationed in Delaware County.

GREENLEAF: March 31. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 53 degrees and clear. Largemouth bass good on crankbaits, jerk baits, lipless baits, plastic baits, spinnerbaits and worms around brush structure, creek channels, docks, main lake, points and rocks. Crappie fair on grubs, hair jigs, jigs and minnows around brush structure, docks, shallows and weed beds. Channel catfish slow on chicken liver, cut bait, minnows and worms around creek channels, docks, flats and points. Report submitted by Dylan Langford, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.

LOWER ILLINOIS RIVER: March 28. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 48 degrees and clear. Rainbow trout good on caddis flies, in-line spinnerbaits, midges, nymphs, PowerBait, small lures and worms below the dam, flats, shallows and shorelines. Report submitted by Jerry Henry, game warden stationed in Sequoyah County.

ROBERT S. KERR: March 29. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 55 degrees and murky. Largemouth and spotted bass good on in-line spinnerbaits, jerk baits, lipless baits and plastic baits around brush structure, channels and river channel. Blue and channel catfish good on cut bait, shad and stinkbait around flats, inlet and main lake. Crappie good on jigs and minnows around creek channels, inlet, river mouth and standing timber. Report submitted by Allen Couch, game warden stationed in Haskell County.

TENKILLER: March 31. Elevation is a foot above normal and stable. The water temperature is 56 degrees and stained. White bass good on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, jigs, minnows and spoons around channels, creek channels, river channel and river mouth. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass good on bill baits, crankbaits, jigs, lipless baits and plastic baits around channels, creek channels, docks, points and shorelines. Crappie fair on hair jigs, jigs, minnows and tube jigs around brush structure, docks and main lake. Report submitted by Cody Youngblood, game warden stationed in Cherokee County.

WEBBERS FALLS: March 31. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 53 degrees and stained. Striped and white bass good on grubs, hair jigs, jigs, lipless baits and sassy shad around creek channels, river channel, river mouth and sandbar. Blue and flathead catfish fair on cut bait, jigs and shad below the dam, flats, river channel and river mouth. Paddlefish fair snagging below the dam, river channel, river mouth and rocks. Report submitted by Dylan Langford, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.

WISTER: March 30. Elevation is a foot below normal and stable. The water temperature is 70 degrees and stained. Largemouth bass excellent on plastic baits and spinnerbaits around brush structure and creek channels. White bass excellent on grubs and lipless baits around creek channels. Crappie excellent on jigs and minnows around brush structure. Report submitted by James Williams, game warden stationed in LeFlore County.
