Former Vian player’s ATU Golden Suns suffer road sweep at hands of Rogers State
CLAREMORE — Former Vian softball player Kacie Gibbins and the Arkansas Tech University Golden Suns suffered a pair of road losses to Rogers State College on Tuesday afternoon, losing the opener 4-1 and falling 8-1 in the nightcap.

In the opener, Gibbins was 1-for-3, while going 1-for-2 in the nightcap.
In 39 games this season, Gibbins is batting .345 with 13 doubles, a triple, a home run, 21 runs batted in and seven stolen bases.
Gibbins and the Golden Suns (22-17) will return to Great American Conference play this weekend with a road series against Henderson State in Arkadelphia, Ark. The opener will be at 4 this afternoon, followed by a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday.
Then, the Golden Suns will entertain Harding University for a single game at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Chartwells Women’s Sports Complex in Russellville, Ark.
