The Lion’s Den School of Self Defense had 13 competitors compete at the sixth annual “Gathering of the Warriors” karate tournament, which took place last Saturday at Purcell’s JFA Academy.

James Fawner was first in point sparring, while Lily Odom was first in continuous sparring and second in place forms and point sparring.
Sendai Zachary Fawner was first in weapons forms and runner-up in both place forms and continuous sparring.
Grayson Odom was first in continuous sparring and second in point sparring, while Audryna Keplar and Israel Carney were each first in continuous sparring and third in point sparring.
Jodi Rylan Douglas was first in point sparring and second in continuous sparring, while Kaden Carney was first in continuous sparring and runner-up point sparring.
Brandalynn Fawver was second in place forms and continuous sparring, while Kaya Odom was runner-up in point sparring.
Mackenzie Moler and Kade Shrabel were each third in point and continuous sparring.
Liam Brown, who competed but did not medal, fought an opponent his same age but twice his size and did “amazing.”
