The Wolverines (14-4) scored four runs in the first inning and six runs in the second inning for a 10-0 lead. A five-run third inning put the game into run-rule status.
Riley Ellis (2-0) got the win as he no-hit the Tigers (511) as he struck out four batters in three innings.
For the game, Draighton Fletcher was 2-for-3 with his third home run of the season, three runs batted in and two runs scored, Drake Collins was 2-for-2 with his first homer of the season, three RBIs and two runs scored, Cash Collins hit his first homer of the season with three runs scored and two RBIs and Ellis hit his second homer of the season with two RBIs for Vian.
Kiefer Bailey (3-2) took the loss, despite getting three strikeouts in the first inning. Waylen Campbell went the next 1.1 innings with a strikeout, then Ryker Miller got the final two outs of the game, one of which came by strikeout.
ROLAND 13, HEAVENER 6, 9 INN.
Tuesday afternoon in Heavener, the Rangers (1-8, 1-3 in District 3A-8 play) got their first win of the season and first district victory.
Trailing 6-2 after six innings, the Rangers tied the game with a four-run seventh inning, then won it with a seven-run ninth inning to cap the come-from-behind victory.
For the game, Alex Brant was 6-for-6 with two runs scored and two runs batted in, Channing McKinney was 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI, Colton Peters was 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored, Adrian Foster was 3-for-6 with a double, three RBIs and a run scored, Lucas Younger was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and Derrick Allen was 2-for-4 with a run scored for Roland.
Brant (1-1) got his first win of the season in relief, going the final 1.1 innings with four strikeouts. Hunter Burris got the start and went the first five innings with seven Ks, then Avery Moya went the next 2.1 innings with three strikeouts.
WEBBERS FALLS 16, BRAGGS 12
Tuesday afternoon at Eual Carter Sports Complex, the Warriors (6-8-1) scored five runs in the sixth inning to turn a 12-11 deficit into a 16-12 victory.
For the game, Elliott Kunkel was 3-for-3 with three doubles, two runs batted in and two runs scored, Clayton Roberts was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI and Brutus Robinson was 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored for Webbers Falls, whose road game Thursday at Okay was rained out.
Ryan Cowan (2-2) got the win in relief, going the final 4.1 innings with seven strikeouts. Gunner Shelby started and failed to get an out during Braggs’ fiverun first inning. Kunkel came in and went the next 2.2 innings with four Ks.
ARKOMA 12, GANS 0, 4 INN.
Tuesday afternoon in Gans, Arkoma’s pitching trio of Kaegen Lewis, Nate Scote and Kaine Wells combined to four-hit the Grizzlies (0-6).
The Mustangs (5-9) broke a scoreless tie with a fourrun second inning, a seven-run third inning and a single run in the fourth inning for a 12-0 lead to put the game into run-rule status.
In defeat, Phoenix Xiong was 2-for-2, while Austin Hines and Jarrett Frazier-Barter each singled for Gans.
Frazier-Barter took the loss, going the first 2.1 innings with seven strikeouts. Xiong went the final 1.2 innings with a strikeout.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Gore’s road game Tuesday against Tulsa Regent Prep did not take place. Also, Gore’s game at the Dewar Tournament and the Day 1 of the Muldrow Festival was rained out on Thursday.
