Former Roland pitcher sees action in Tuesday’s win over Arkansas State

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Former Roland pitcher Carson Wiggins saw some action late in the No. 1 Arkansas Razorbacks’ Tuesday night 7-3 win over the Arkansas State Red Wolves at Baum-Walker Stadium.

Wiggins pitched a scoreless ninth inning with a strikeout.

So far this season, Wiggins is 1-0 with a 3.00 earned-run average with 13 strikeouts in 10 innings pitched, with all appearances coming in relief roles.

The Razorbacks, who are off to the best start in the program’s history at 31-3, will resume Southeastern Conference play with a road series against the No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs, which will begin with a 5 p.m. game today.
