Central outlasts Vian

The Central Lady Tigers got the season sweep over Vian as they outlasted the Lady Wolverines 10-9 on Monday afternoon at Central High School.

The Central Lady Tigers got the season sweep over Vian as they outlasted the Lady Wolverines 10-9 on Monday afternoon at Central High School.

The Lady Tigers (6-8), who trailed 9-4 in the sixth inning, scored five runs in the sixth inning to tie the game at 9-all and walked it off in the seventh inning as Ayrland Jiles stole home for the game-winning run.

For the game, Brenleigh Allen was 3-for-3 with two runs scored, Alyvia Warner was 3-for-3 with a triple, three runs batted in and a run scored, Charlie Petree was 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored, Keeley Poindexter was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored, Jiles doubled with an RBI and a run scored and Allie Harris tripled with two RBIs and a run scored for Central.

Gretchen Reed (1-3) got her first win of the season, pitching a total of four innings in two stints with two strikeouts. Jhaselyn Gonzalez pitched an inning in relief.

In defeat, Kala Gibbins was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI, Rayleigh Terrill was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored, Eden Gilbert was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and LaKoeta Cheater was 2-for-4 with a run scored for the Lady Wolverines (4-10). Terrill (4-10) took the loss.

GORE 14, WEBBERS FALLS 6, 6 INN.

Monday afternoon at Eual Carter Sports Complex, the Lady Pirates (10-10), who trailed 1-0 after an inning, scored six runs in the second inning to lead 6-1. The closest the Lady Warriors (5-14) got was 6-4 after a three-run third inning as Gore responded with a four-run fourth inning and a single run in the fifth inning for an 11-4 lead. A three-run sixth inning for Gore put the game into run-rule status.

For the game, Keira Rowe was 2-for-4 with a run batted in and a run scored, Maddison Douglass was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, Emily Daily doubled with two runs scored and an RBI ands River Shoemake hit her second home run of the season with two RBIs and two runs scored for Gore. Mylee Bruce (10-10) got the win.

In defeat, Bentley Ward was 3-for-4, Bailey Ward was 3-for-4 with a run scored, Rhilee Jones was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, Kendra Kimble was 3-for-4 with an RBI, Shkyra Scruggs was 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored, Bridgette Baer was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored and Lextyn Chappell tripled with an RBI and a run scored for Webbers Falls.

Chappell (3-9) took the loss, despite recording three strikeouts.

ARKOMA/CAMERON 30, GANS 16, 8 INN.

Monday afternoon in Gans, the visitors broke a 14-all tie after six innings with a 16-run eighth inning to get the win.

In defeat, Gabbie Price was 3-for-5 with a double, her third home run of the season, five runs batted in and three runs scored, K’Cee Osborn was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI, Abigail Leach was 3-for-5 with a triple, her first homer of the season which was an inside-the-park in the sixth inning to tie the game at 14-all, three runs scored and two RBIs, Addy Bibbs was 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored, Amarys White was 2-for-5 with three RBIs and a run scored and Remi Hughes was 2-for-4 with two runs scored for the Lady Grizzlies (3-13).

Destiny Phillips (2-8) suffered the loss, despite getting two strikeouts in sevenplus innings. Yesenia Gaona got the final three outs of the game.

PANAMA 5, MULDROW 1

Friday afternoon in Panama, after the Lady Bulldogs (5-9) broke a scoreless tie with a run in the fourth inning, the Lady Razorbacks answered with four runs in their half of the frame for a 4-1 lead after four innings. Panama got an insurance run in the sixth inning.

In defeat, Jaydin Dean was 2-for-3, Amaya Duran was 2-for-3 and Kaydence Young and Riah Keenan each doubled for Muldrow. Dean (5-9) suffered the loss.

CHECOTAH 7, MULDROW 6

OKTAHA 9, MULDROW 8, 8 INN.

EUFAULA 5, MULDROW 0

Thursday in the Checotah Festival, the Lady Bulldogs lost all three games on the day.

In the loss to Checotah, the Lady Wildcats rallied from a 1-0 first-inning deficit with a pair of tworun innings in the first and the fourth inning for a 4-1 lead. After the Lady Bulldogs cut their deficit to 4-3 in the fourth inning, the Lady ’Cats responded in the home half of the frame with a three-spot to up their advantage to 7-3 after four innings. The Lady Bulldogs scored once in the fifth inning and twice in the sixth inning cut the deficit to 7-6 but got no closer.

In defeat, Amarie Duran was 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored, Kaydence Young doubled and Danica Tune tripled and scored once for Muldrow. Jaydin Dean took the loss.

In the loss to Oktaha, the Lady Bulldogs tied the game at 8-all with a threerun fifth inning, only to see the Lady Tigers walk it off in the bottom of the eighth inning.

In defeat, Reagan Newbern was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, while Tune hit her first homer of the season, a three-run shot in the third inning. Dean suffered the loss.

In the loss to Eufaula, the Lady Bulldogs were five-hit by Lady Ironhead pitcher Makayla Harjo.

The Lady Ironheads scored three runs in the first inning and twice in the third inning.

In defeat, Amarie Duran was 3-for-3 with a double, while Amaya Duran and Eve Keenan each singled. Dean took the loss.

FORT GIBSON 15, VIAN 0, 3 INN.

Friday afternoon in Fort Gibson, the Lady Tigers scored 13 runs in the opening inning and never looked back. A two-run second inning put the game into run-rule status.

In defeat, Brooklyn Cox’s single was the only hit for Vian. Rayleigh Terrill took the loss.
