Polly proclamation presented
Sallisaw Mayor Ernie Martens (right) on Monday presented a proclamation to Polly Lackey (second from right), celebrating her “remarkable milestone and honoring a century of life lived with meaningful experiences, service and love,” and declaring April 15 as Polly Lackey Day in Sallisaw. Lackey, a lifetime Sequoyah County resident, celebrated her 100th birthday on March 10, and was also inducted into the Centenarians of Oklahoma Hall of Fame. Joining Lackey for the special presentation are friends Steve and Vickie Sullivan.
