Former Vian softball player Greenlee Wells and the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison took a series from 10thranked Harding University last weekend in Searcy, Ark.
The Bison took both games last Friday by scores of 2-0 and 6-4 but lost the series finale 4-0 last Saturday.
In last Friday’s opener against Harding, Wells was hitless in three atbats, while hitting her 13th homer in the nightcap.

On Tuesday in Shawnee, the Bison swept a home doubleheader from Northeastern Oklahoma State University, winning 9-1 in a six-inning, run-rule contest and 5-3. In Tuesday’s opener, Wells was 1-for-3 with two runs batted in, while going hitless in three at-bats in the nightcap. Through 44 games, Wells is batting .341 with 12 doubles, a triple, 13 homers, 44 RBIs, 28 runs scored and seven stolen bases.
Wells and the Lady Bison (2915 overall, 20-6 in Great American Conference play) welcomed Wells’ former Vian teammate Kacie Gibbins and the Arkansas Tech University Golden Suns for a three-game GAC series in Shawnee with Game 1 slated to take place Thursday night, followed by a noon twinbill on today before playing a single game at 4 p.m. Tuesday against Southern Nazarene University in Bethany.
