FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Former Roland Rangers pitcher Carson Wiggins got to see some action for Arkansas in the two-day midweek home series against Arkansas-Little Rock at Baum-Walker Stadium.
In Tuesday’s game won by the Razorbacks by the score of 10-0 in seven innings, Wiggins pitched the final inning and struck out the side.
The Hogs completed the sweep by taking Wednesday’s game 4-0.
For the season, Wiggins is 1-0 with three saves and an earned-run average of 2.57. In 14 innings pitched, all in relief, Wiggins has recorded 20 strikeouts.
Wiggins and the fifth-ranked Razorbacks (36-7) will return to Southeastern Conference play with a road series against Florida, beginning with a 5:30 p.m. game this evening. Game 2 will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the series finale at noon Sunday. Then the Hogs will play a road game against Missouri State at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Springfield, Mo.
