Former Vian player’s OBU softball team suffers road loss to SNU
BETHANY — Former Vian softball player Greenlee Wells, fresh off being named the Oklahoma Baptist University Softball Player of the Week, and the OBU Bison suffered a 7-6 road loss to Southern Nazarene University on Tuesday afternoon to see their five-game winning streak snapped.
BETHANY — Former Vian softball player Greenlee Wells, fresh off being named the Oklahoma Baptist University Softball Player of the Week, and the OBU Bison suffered a 7-6 road loss to Southern Nazarene University on Tuesday afternoon to see their five-game winning streak snapped.
In defeat, Wells was 2-for-4 with 16th home run and three runs batted in.
Through 48 games, Wells is hitting .370 with 14 doubles, a triple, 16 homers, 52 RBIs, 34 runs scored and seven stolen bases.
Wells and the Bison (32-16, 23-7 in GAC play) will conclude the regular season with a threegame home series in Shawnee against Southern Arkansas University, with a single game at 6 tonight and a noon doubleheader on Saturday.
