LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Quest for unity

Dear Editor,

Christianity has many denominations and they all agree on most of the bible teachings; however, there are some differences in the interpretation of a few scriptures and neither side will give in. Therefore, the field is wide open for criticism, name calling, slander and put downs to all other denominations that don’t fully 100% agree with them.

The public at large have a good excuse not to go to church meetings because they know somebody must be wrong. But which one? Maybe all of them are wrong. We have a bible to go by and the teachings require careful and prayerful study to rightly the Word of truth. The bible does not teach one group something and another group something else, but people with their ego as a stumbling block in their mind will never concede to a truth that is challenging them to repent. All our churches could have unity today if all of us would submit to God’s teaching and recognize man’s teachings, superstitions and traditions for what they are.

The same thing goes with our political parties: we have a constitution of laws for all to go by, no one is above the law, however both parties have been doing things that are unconstitutional, and passing laws for all to go by are unconstitutional also.

We could have unity in Congress and the rest of the country if everybody knew what the constitution taught and was so familiar with it that everybody would recognize the bad law, bad proposition and the bad person that is trying to get a bad law voted on.

We are supposed to be a sovereign nation and should be able to survive without imports from other countries. At present time we cannot, shame, shame on us, the people for not holding our representatives accountable.

If we want to save our nation, we must become independent. It may take years, but we must rid ourselves of the things that work against us, like the fraud and wasteful spending, the U.N., the C.F.R. and the Communist.
