Our Lucky Lotto contest is going great. Our Surprise Box had seven stickers put on the box. Our May contest had a first week winner, Lynda wearing beautiful shades of pink, including a pink hat and purse. Next Monday will be Wacky Hat Day. Wonder who will be the winner of that contest? It is For the Fun of It! Express Yourself in Costume Contest. Monday, May 19 will be to wear mismatch clothing! Our co-leader, Lynda will be taking on the meetings on May 12 and 19, so members expect surprises from her. May 26 is Super Heroes Day! I will be back from vacation, so I am planning on winning the contest that day and also the 26 is our chapter fun day, so I am planning on having the ladies make Fourth of July Disco ball bracelets.

Barbara gave our program this week. She showed us how to draw with permanent makers on plain white plates and then place in oven for 1 hour to make artwork permanent. She had a Happy Birthday art on her plate and white cup. Donna received the plate and cup as a gift for her birthday. Barbara suggested we not eat directly off the plate, so it could be used as a decorative plate with paper doily placed on it to hold cookies or cupcakes. Thank you, Barbara for showing us the cute gift idea!

We had time to discuss a variety of topics. It makes my heart feel happy to see the membership getting to know each other and supporting each other. We always welcome visitors and hopefully they become our new members. Come check us out, the first visit is FREE.

We meet at First Christian Church, 706 N Wheeler, Sallisaw, Monday at 10:00am-12pm. We begin weighing at 10:00am and the meeting starts at 11 am and ends at 12. Membership has increased to $70 a year for first time member, $60 a year for first time renewal member and $49.50 for second or more renewal members. For more info, please call Billie at 918413-1383. We always look forward to meeting a new member.
