Lady Diamonds players selected to All-District 4A-4 squad

Several Sallisaw Lady Diamonds soccer team members were named to the All-District 4A-4 Girls Soccer Team last week.

One member, Laynie Gerred, was named to the first team all-district.

The other eight Lady Diamonds who made the All-District 4A-4 Team were all honorable mention. They were Alayna Donaldson, Brooklyn Donaldson, Makenna Bormann, Promise Flute, Bella Morales, Emilie Robbins, Jocelyn Rivera and Madelynne Alvarez.

“It represents all the hard work they’ve been putting in ever since this past summer, something similar to Summer Pride,” Sallisaw girls soccer coach Sinue Rodriguez said. “They did specific soccer workouts. From June, for all these months, up until now, it shows the hard work we’ve been putting in, and this is very deserving for all of them. I’m very blessed, happy and proud for them.”
