Did you know that Medicare fraud is estimated at $60-100 BILLION a year. You heard correctly. Did you also know that Medicare beneficiaries, caregivers, and family members are the front line of defense against this? By using the Healthcare Journal, your Medicare.gov account AND monitoring your Medicare Summary Notice or Explanation of Benefits that you receive, you can catch suspected fraud early. If you notice anything that doesn’t ring a bell or looks inaccurate, please call us so we can help you figure it out. Sometimes it’s just human error, but sometimes it’s something else. In those “something else” cases, we’ll work with you to report it to the appropriate authority(ies) so your Medicare account stays clean and possibly some money is returned to Medicare.
