Black Diamond player signs with ASU-Three Rivers
Another Sallisaw Black Diamonds baseball senior has punched his ticket to the next level.
Sallisaw outfielder/pitcher Brodie Cameron signed with Arkansas State University-Three Rivers, located in Malvern, Ark., earlier this summer.
Cameron became the third Black Diamonds to sign a baseball letter of intent, joining Connor Green signing with Seminole State College and Creed Nelson signing with Oklahoma Wesleyan University as both of them signed on National Letter of Intent Signing Day on Feb. 5 at Paul Post Field House.
Cameron, who was named to the firstteam All-District 4A-8 Baseball Team, hit .353 with three home runs and 24 runs batted in. He had 14 stolen bases and a fielding percentage in left field of .938 with five assists.
Pitching, Cameron was 1-3 with 35 strikeouts in 30 innings pitched, most of which came in relief pitching roles.
Cameron will be used by ASU-Three Rivers as both an outfielder and a pitcher.
