Heritage Preservation Grant Program applications open September 1

The Oklahoma Historical Society (OHS) will open applications for the 2026 grant cycle of the Oklahoma Heritage Preservation Grant Program on September 1. This grants-in-aid program will offer awards ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 to municipal, county, or tribal governments, as well as nonprofit historical organizations and their support groups. All nonprofit applicants must be registered and in good standing with the Oklahoma Secretary of State. Grants will be awarded in one of four categories: collections, exhibits, programs and capacity building.
