Gore prepping for district play during bye week

The Gore Pirates will not be playing tonight as Gore coach Brandon Ellis purposely always puts his team’s bye week — if they play a Zero Week game, as they did this year against Wilburton on Aug. 29 — in the week after nondistrict games and before the District AII-3 season begins, which it will against Mounds for homecoming at 7 p.m. next Friday at K.G. Horn Stadium.
