Golden Hurricane defeats Rhode Island in Veterans Classic

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A hot start in the first half, including a 16-0 offensive run, led the Tulsa men’s basketball team to a decisive 82-65 win over Rhode Island in the Veterans Classic in Alumni Hall on the campus of the U.S. Naval Academy.

Golden Hurricane’s sharp 3-point shooting, going 11-for-22 from beyond the arc, was pivotal in building a lead that proved insurmountable. The team also capitalized on turnovers, scoring 15 points off the Rams’ 16 turnovers.
