Ribbon-cutting marks opening of new Local Bank location
More than 100 business and community partners turned out Thursday morning for the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce’s ceremonial ribbon cutting for Local Bank’s new Sallisaw facility at 1400 Chapman Avenue. The 9,000-square-foot, two-story bank boasts vast expanses of windows with a modern design, making the interior bright and inviting. Local Bank is a federally recognized Community Development Financial Institution, one of the first banks in the country to earn the designation in 1998, and focuses on meeting the financial needs of rural communities across the nation’s heartland. Susan Chapman Plumb is the bank CEO, Treye Gardner is the senior vice president and market president and Teresa Watts is vice president and loan officer.
