Central Lady Tigers tame Gans Lady Grizzlies

The Central Lady Tigers entered their pre-Christmas break portion of their season in fine fashion with a 6822 road win over the Gans Lady Grizzlies on Tuesday night at Bryant “Big Country” Reeves Fieldhouse.

The Lady Tigers (4-1) jumped out to a 14-6 lead after a quarter en route to a 35-8 halftime advantage and a 53-9 lead after three periods.

For the game, Cambree Bair scored a game-high 19 points and Paris Campbell added 18 points to lead Central, followed by Sadie Huff with eight points, Cheyenne Busch with seven points, Sara Williams with six points, Sarah Buchanan and Alexxus Bolin with four points each and Charlie Petree with two points.

In defeat, Nora Barnes led the Lady Grizzlies (4-6) with nine points, followed by Skilynn Bird with six points, Valan Harper with four points, Abigail Leach with two points and KrisLynn Martin with a free throw.

ROLAND 58, POTEAU 36

Tuesday night at the Ranger Dome, the Lady Rangers (4-2 overall, 2-0 in NOAA Conference play) put away the game early, jumping out to a 21-5 lead after the opening quarter.

For the game, Ryanne Nelke scored a game-high 27 points to lead Roland, followed by Lillian Cole with 15 points, Halle Freeman with nine points, Molly Carver with four points and Adriana Moya with three points.

GORE 53, ARKOMA 23

Tuesday night at Arkoma High School’s Neil Brannon Gymnasium, the Lady Pirates (3-3), winners of two straight, took care of their Riverside Conference opponent fairly quickly, taking a 12-2 lead after a quarter en route to a 24-11 halftime advantage and a 40-21 lead after three periods.

For the game, Gore put a trio of players into double figures, led by Emily Daily and Kennedy Williams sharing game-high honors with 14 points each, while Rayleigh Moore added 11 points. Sophie O’Connor scored eight points, while Kylie “K.J.” McEver and River Shoemake scored three points apiece.

WEBBERS FALLS 53, BRAGGS 12

Tuesday night in Braggs, the Lady Warriors (3-3) jumped out to a 24-1 lead after a quarter and were never headed.

For the game, Madison Smith scored a game-high 13 points to lead Webbers Falls, followed by Allie Patterson with seven points, Rhilee Jones and Peyton Shanks with six points each, Katie Frazier and Audri Spears each with five points, Hailey Shanks, Abbie Patterson and Paizley Turley with four points each and River Qualls with a free throw.

CHECOTAH 39, MULDROW 38

Tuesday night in Checotah, the Lady Wildcats (2-4 overall, 1-1 in NOAA Conference play) rallied from a 33-29 third-quarter deficit by doubling up the Lady Bulldogs 10-5 in the final period.

In defeat, Kayla Ellingberg scored 13 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs (2-3, 1-1), followed by London Hardin with nine points, Kilah Ellingberg with seven points, Gracie Prewett with six points and Jaydin Dean with three points.

CAVE SPRINGS 41, GANS 31

Monday night at Cave Springs High School, the Lady Hornets virtually led from start to finish, taking a 14-5 lead after a period, a 25-14 halftime advantage and a 32-22 lead into the fourth quarter.

In defeat, Nora Barnes and Skilynn Bird each scored a game-high 12 points to lead Gans, followed by Valan Harper with five points and Makinzie Kimble with two points.
