Tulsa women’s strong second half propels them past FAU

TULSA — The Tulsa women’s basketball team defeated Florida Atlantic 77-58 on Tuesday night at Donald W. Reynolds Center, outscoring the Owls 41-21 in the second half. The Golden Hurricane dominated the paint with 40 points and held a 35-25 rebounding advantage.

Tulsa shot 55.1 percent from the field and made 18-of-22 free throws throughout the contest.

Leading the way was junior guard Mady Cartwright, who had 18 points and a perfect 4-of-4 showing at the charity stripe.
