City joins class action lawsuit vs. fire truck manufacturers

On a night when Sallisaw Fire Chief Anthony Armstrong was recognized for his 30 years of service to the city — the past 17 as chief before his February 1 retirement — Sallisaw City Commissioners last week approved the city becoming a named plaintiff in a multi-state class action lawsuit against manufacturers of various fire trucks, including a pumper truck the city purchased almost four years ago.
