Sallisaw likes chances of making state tournament again

After years of frustration of seeing their baseball seasons end a game shy of the Class 4A State Tournament, the Sallisaw Black Diamonds, who went 25-7 in 2025, finally knocked down the door to state last season, where they fell 6-5 to the Newcastle Racers in the state quarterfinals where a late-inning rally came up short.
