Roland wins own event, with all 5 golfers making top 10
FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Roland Rangers golf team won its own Roland Boys Invitational, which took place Wednesday at Ben Geren Country Club in Fort Smith, Ark.
FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Roland Rangers golf team won its own Roland Boys Invitational, which took place Wednesday at Ben Geren Country Club in Fort Smith, Ark.
The Rangers had a team score of 373 and saw all five members make the top 10.
The Rangers got the second-through fourth-place spots. Kylan White was the runner-up medalist with an 85, with Brady Edmondson in third (90) and Avery Moya in fourth (91). Jalen Armer was eighth with a 107, while Keegan Knapp was ninth at 114.
The three Sallisaw Black Diamonds golfers also competed on the day. Lee Smith and Bo Qualls each shot a 124, while Christian Ellis carded a 132.
The Rangers, along with the Muldrow Bulldogs, will play in Monday’s Tahlequah Boys Invitational, which will take place at Cherokee Springs Golf Course.
The Black Diamonds are idle until April 10 when they will play in the Stigler Boys Invitational, teeing off at 9 a.m. at Brier Creek Golf Course.
