Christmas Market planned for November
By News Staff

Organizers of Oktoberfest at Trinity United Methodist Church in Muldrow, announce the event has been postposed and will be renamed as “Christmas Market” to be held Nov. 19 combined with Holiday Helper which was already scheduled.

“We are sorry to inform everyone due to an energy crisis, we have had to postpone the Oktoberfest but it will be combined with Holiday Helper in November which had already been scheduled,” Lavonna Smith, the church secretary, said.

“The fundraiser will include baked goods – to help with your Thanksgiving gathering; Christmas items – to help you decorate your lovely home; and craft items – to help you with your Christmas shopping. We will, even, have a gift-wrapping table. Hopefully, this will make your Holiday Season a little easier for you,” Smith said.

According to the fundraising committee, the Christmas Market will be held outside with many of the same fun things to do, which had been planned for Oktoberfest. Watch for more information as the event draws near.

“We will also have food and drinks available, so everyone can eat. Shopping and playing uses our energy and makes us hungry and thirsty. We say, ’Thank you,‚ to everyone, who has supported our fundraising events,” Smith said.

Muldrow/Roland Trinity United Methodist Church is located at1601 East Shawntel Smith Blvd., P.O. Box 430, Muldrow, OK 74948. Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For more information about the event or other activities and services provided by the church, contact Smith at 918-427-4151.
