Memorial services for Jimmy Lynn Collins, 73, will be held at noon on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022, at Box Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Collins was born on July 16, 1949, to Jim “Dutch” Collins and Alice Collins. He died on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022.
He was a graduate of Vian High School. He was employed by Job Corps in Tulsa for 10 years helping troubled teens. He also worked for the Tulsa Public Schools District for 10 years, as well as Tulsa Performing Arts. He was a member of Abundant Rain Church, where he assisted with many church activities. He was an avid reader and enjoyed garage sales looking for a great find.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela Peoples; one sister, Sue Behnke; stepchildren, Brian Williams and Chrystal Boyd; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
