Bobby Ellis Vessell

Feb. 20, 1949 – Nov. 8, 2022

Funeral services for Bobby Ellis Vessell, 73, of Muldrow, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, at Lee’s Chapel Assembly of God Church in Muldrow.

Burial will be Cottonwood Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mr. Vessell was born on Feb. 20, 1949, in Fort Smith, Ark., to James Odus Vessell and Vera Opal (Duvall) Vessell. He died on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, in Muldrow.

He retired as a policeman after 17 years of service and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include three daughters, Rebecca Vessell and Chrystal Ryan and John all of Muldrow and Leah Lamproe and Snapper of Mountainburg, Ark.; one son, Ronnie Vessell of Muldrow; two sisters, Carol Falleur of Muldrow and Shirley Goodman of Owasso; one brother, Jimmy Otis Vessell of Sallisaw; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Muriel Hallum.

Pallbearers will be Jerah Vessell, Noah Vessell, Mark Hallum, Cody Plant, Tristan Valencuela and Brayden Smith.

Visitation will be noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Muldrow. The family will greet from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
