County commissioners meet

The Sequoyah County Commissioners met Monday to conduct weekly business.

The first item for a bid of $200 on county property for Lot 21, Block 5, Valley View Addition was rejected due to the $480 in taxes due on the property.

However, a bid of $60,375 was approved for a two-ton flat bed truck for the Marble City Fire Department.

Under old business, the commissioners approved a declaration of surplus on a 1973 Howe Fire Engine for the Lee Creek Fire Department.
