Police visit local learning center

From the left, Captain Robert Allen, Chief Mark Harkins and Officer Milligan from the Vian Police Department made a visit last week to the Wolverine Den of Kids Learning Center in Vian. The officers were met with enthusiasm and lots of questions from the youngsters, and finished up by handing out stickers to everyone in attendance. “I learned a long time ago that when it comes to precious children, you have to go against everything you are trained to do, stand tall, be assertive, and show strength-not weakness,” Chief Harkins said. “This was one of the best days we’ve all had in a long time.” The officers said they wish to thank Miss Kelsi Madsen for allowing them to show the kids “just who they are,” through serving, helping and providing safety.
