Sallisaw Black Diamonds get home district win over Broken Bow

For most of this season, the Sallisaw Black Diamonds have gotten strong performances from its defense. It was no different in Friday night’s home District 4A-4 game against the Broken Bow Savages at Perry F. Lattimore Stadium.

The Sallisaw defense recovered two Broken Bow fumbles, picked off a pass, had a defensive stop on downs, recorded five quarterback sacks, held Broken Bow to 4-of-14 on third-down conversions and had a partially blocked punt as the Black Diamonds handled the Savages 24-13....
