Thunder knock off defending champions

DENVER — The Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night at Denver’s Ball Arena stunned the defending-champion Nuggets 118-117 just 48 hours after OKC lost 128-123 to the Sacramento Kings at GoldenOne Center in Sacramento, Calif.

The Thunder began a five-game homestand Monday with a 116-97 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at Paycom Center in OKC. The Thunder will continue the homestand at 7 p.m. Thursday against the Los Angeles Clippers.
