Muldrow students are VFW contest winners

Muldrow High School sophomore Alli LaPerle (abo e) recently won third place in the Voice of Democracy speech contest. Muldrow Middle School eighth grader Jack Rhodes (below) won first place in the Patriot’s Pen essay contest. These contests are sponsored by the local VFW Post 8384. Both Alli and Jack were invited to a Christmas dinner for local veterans and their families. At the dinner, they read their essays aloud and were awarded with checks and a medal.
