Sallisaw FCCLA competes at Regionals

On Jan. 30 the Northeast Region FCCLA hosted the second round of STAR Events at TulsaTech in Owasso. Students from five districts in the northeast region of the Oklahoma Association competed in various categories and levels. Amongst dozens of students the Sallisaw chapter brought four compe t i tors : Kelsie Darden created an ebook for her event in Level 2 Children's Literature; Sophia Teague competed in Level 2 Creed Speaking and Interpretation; Mya Thomas compiled a portfolio in Level 2 Career Investigation where she placed 3rd; and Jocelyn Coffman placed second in the Level 3 Work Ready Interview Skills. Jocelyn advances as a state qualifier. She will compete once more this spring in Stillwater.
