Announcements of upcoming events for nonprofit organizations and events in Sequoyah County may be delivered to Your TIMES in several different ways. They may be mailed to or hand delivered to Your TIMES at 111 N. Oak St. in Sallisaw. Events may be telephoned in by calling (918) 775-4433, or they may be e-mailed to news@seqcotimes.com or from a special form on Your TIMES website at www.sequoyahcountytimes.com.

The deadline for announcements for Wednesday’s edition is 11 a.m. on Tuesday. The deadline for announcements in Friday’s edition is 11 a.m. Thursday.

Your TIMES welcomes announcements and is pleased to publish them so that Sequoyah County residents can take advantage of the many activities occurring in the county.

WED. APRIL 3

Sallisaw School Title VI Parent Committee meeting, 2:30 p.m., 701 J.T. Stites Blvd. discussion topics application part 1.

Gans Elementary preenrollment, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Margaret Hastings Elementary Building. Must bring original birth certificate, Social Security Card, CDIB, and shot records. For questions call Regina Brannon, Superintendent at 918-775-2236.

WED., APRIL 3, 10, 17 & 24

The Sequoyah County Historical Society Museum is open on Wednesdays, from 9:30 a.m. to noon

Bible study, 6 to 7:30 p.m., Simple Simons Pizza, 2401 E. Cherokee, Sallisaw. Pizza 6 to 6:30 p.m., Bible study begins at 6:30 p.m. Everyone welcome. For more info call Jeannie 918-235-1029.

AARP TaxAide, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 7 to April 12, First Christian Church, 706 N. Wheeler, Sallisaw. Service primarily for seniors and low/moderate income taxpayers. Bring last year tax return, Social Security Card, government issued ID, W-2, Social Security 1099, other 1099, receipts or canceled checks, and all info needed to file your tax return. WED. APRIL 3-FRI. APRIL 5

Muldrow Elementary preenrollment, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., pre-k building and 2 to 5 p.m. front office. Must bring original birth certificate, Social Security Card, CDIB card, shot record, address verification and parent/guardian ID.

THURS. APRIL 4

Hamburger/hotdog cookout fundraiser, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sallisaw City Chamber Building, 101 N. Wheeler. Lunch $10 includes 1 hamburger or 2 hotdogs, chips, dessert and drink. Hosted by Sequoyah County Child Abuse Task Force. All proceeds go to the Sequoyah County Child Abuse Task Force.

THURS., APRIL 4, 11, 18 & 25

Line dancing exercise class, 5 to 6:30 p.m., Muldrow Cherokee Community Organization Building, 603 N. Main St., Muldrow.

Free crochet classes 2 to 4 p.m. at 3700 W. Cherokee Ave., Blue Ribbon Chapel, Sallisaw, with the Bizzy Beez. Classes held every Thursday. The Bizzy Beez volunteers invite the community to attend and learn how to crochet and enjoy the fellowship. Donation of yarn appreciated. For more information call Margaret Wood at 918-571-3345.
