Sallisaw long jumper, Roland shot putter, Muldrow high jumper win titles at Heavener Invitational

HEAVENER — Three local athletes won individual titles at Tuesday’s Heavener Invitational track meet, which took place at Harvey Stadium.

Sallisaw long jumper Hannah Palmer took gold with a leap of 15-7.5, Roland shot put thrower Dalton Crossno was the champion with a throw of 44-3.5 and Muldrow high jumper Teaguen Collins won his event with a jump of 5-10.

The Lady Diamonds scored 75 points in the meet, thanks to placing at least one entry in 12 events.

Individually for the Lady Diamonds, Sydney Weedon was runner-up in the 100-meter hurdles (17.97 seconds) and fifth in the 300-meter hurdles (55.41), while Kayli Macon was second in the 200-meter dash (27.0). Molly Carver was third in the 1,600-meter run (6:03.65), Macie Gremillion was fifth in both the shot put (33-3) and the discus (91-5) and Kylie Holt was sixth in the 400-meter run (1:09.88).

The Lady Diamonds placed in all four relay events, with two of them finishing third.

The 400-meter relay team of Macon, Abby Kate Qualls, Emma Martin and Jazmyne Wright was third (52.25 seconds), while Macon, Qualls, Palmer and Wright were third in the 800-meter relay (1:50.56).

Carver, Trinity Cox, Haley Birdtail and Nicci Davis were fourth in the 3,200-meter relay (11:52), while the 1,600-meter relay team of Palmer, Qualls, Ava Armstrong and Wright was fifth (4:41.56).

The Black D i a m o n d s scored 45 p o i n t s , with the 3,200- meter relay team of Cash Mayfield, Ish Patel, Jonas Reid and Jodai Sama Salinas f i n i s h i n g third (9:27) being the boys’ highest f i n i s h e r , individual or relay team, in Tuesday’s meet.

The highest S a l l i s a w boys’ finisher was Cannon Martindal e , who was third in the discus (118-5). Salinas was fourth ( 1 1 . 4 0 . 9 7 ) and Reid fifth ( 1 1 : 4 3 . 0 6 ) in the 3,200- meter run, and Tyler File was sixth in the 300-meter hurdles (48.93 seconds).

The rest of the Black Diamonds’ points came in their other three relays, with two of those finishing fourth. Aaron File, Cooper Cox, Jackson Harris and Kenyan Hill were fourth in the 400-meter relay (45.78 seconds), while the 1,600-meter relay team of Aaron File, Mayfield, Patel and Brodie Cameron was fourth (3:48.22). Aaron File, Cox, Cameron and Hill were fifth in the 800-meter relay (1:36). Besides Collins winning the high jump, the Bulldog also was third in the long jump (18 2.5) and fourth in the 400-meter dash (55.06 seconds). Also for the ’Dogs individually, Mark Gleason was sixth in the shot put (393), while Jesse Kilinc was sixth in the 800-meter run (2:22.47).

As for the Lady Bulldogs, their highest individuals on the medal stand were two fifth-place finishes as Kennady Moore was fifth in the 800-meter run (2:54.28) and Genna Stephenson was fifth in the 3,200-meter run (14:39.28) and sixth in the 1,600-meter run (6:48.69).

The Muldrow girls’ 3,200-meter relay team of Tiphany Martinez, Gracie Prewett, Emma Fields and Stephenson was third (11:48).

Besides Crossno, four other Roland Rangers placed as individuals, with one of those placing twice as Landon Killer was third in the 800-meter run (2:16.68) and fourth in the 1,600-meter run (5:20.25).

Also for the Rangers individually, Logen Thomas was fifth in the shot put (40-4), Uriah Phillips was fifth in the long jump (18-0) and Trevor Lasiter was fifth in the 100-meter dash (11.63 seconds).

The Roland boys’ 400-meter relay team of Lateevis Jones, Lasiter, Phillips and Paul Johnson was sixth (46.09 seconds).

For the Lady Rangers, Haven Freeman had the highest finish in Tuesday’s meet as she was third in the 100-meter dash (13.28 seconds).

As for other Lady Rangers individually, Brooklyn Hallbauer was fourth in the 200-meter dash (28.72 seconds), while Halle Freeman was fifth in the high jump (46).

The Roland girls had two relay teams place. Mira Reagan, Brooklyn Hallbauer, Halle Freeman and Haven Freeman were fourth in the 800-meter relay (1:52.07), while Reagan, Addyson Clark and both Freemans were fifth in the 400-meter relay (54.93 seconds).

One other local boy placed in Tuesday’s meet as Webbers Falls Warrior sprinter Maddux Shelby was sixth in the 200-meter dash (24.67 seconds).

Three other local girls placed in the event as Vian’s Tina Rautenberg was sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (18.77 seconds), while the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors had two individuals place as Cheyanne Herrier was fourth in the 3,200-meter run (14:29) and Bridgette Baer was sixth in the long jump (13-5).

The Sallisaw, Muldrow, Roland and Vian track teams, scheduled to be joined by Central’s and Gore’s tracksters, will participate in today’s Hilldale Invitational, which will begin at 10 a.m. in Muskogee.

The Webbers Falls teams aren’t slated to return to action until the Warner Invitational, which will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Gans track teams also are slated to perform there.

Also on Tuesday, the Central and Gore tracksters are scheduled to perform at the Okemah Invitational at 10 a.m.
